STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY DEFEND THEIR M.SC. THESIS

Congratulations are due to numerous students in the Cooke lab!
Maxime Veilleux successfully defended her thesis focused on the spatial ecology of fish in the Toronto Harbour on Monday, September 8th. She is hot on the heels of three students who completed their Master of Science degree this spring: Jessica Taylor on the “Effects of maternal oxidative stress and gametic cortisol exposure on Fraser River sockeye salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka) offspring”, Liane Nowell on the  “Thermal biology and swimming energetics of bonefish (Albula vulpes) in Eleuthera, The Bahamas”, and Jacqueline Chapman on “Evaluating ecological restoration of St. Lawrence River tributaries using seasonal assessments of fish community structure”. Jacqueline will continue to work with Dr. Cooke and is starting her Ph.D. this fall focusing on salmon in BC.
